What a wasted opportunity for a great thriller series. So many things wrong with this, from bad acting, far too many plot twists, through to graphics that even a Windows 95 computer could produce much better. I thought the casting was brilliant, and I was very much looking forward to seeing some of my favourite actors. But for some reason, they just didn’t come together in this. There were far too many cringy moments… And how many times can a man, who’s been shot in the stomach and is heavily bleeding, be brought back to life?! This, sadly, was a bad attempt at trying to create another series like Hijack or Bodyguard. I gave a star for the overall camera work, which was good and often gave a cinematic feel, but again, greatly let down by the plot, graphics and acting

I was excited to watch this as I have a slight man crush on Gerard Butler, but this film was an absolute embarrassment. A very generic kidnapping plot line with no real reason why the kidnapping happened. No decent twists, and any suspenseful scenes were ruined by poor camera angles and movement. Almost appeared that it was shot on an iPhone on a gimbal. Camera reflections seen in multiple shots and colour grading well overused giving the film a very bland feel. Lots of warping on some shots to balance out the shakiness which was very off-putting as it was noticeable. Acting not the worst I’ve seen but was still not that great, probably would have appeared better if the film had the right feel and cinematography. The film climax, which is probably where most of the film budget was spent after paying Gerard Butler of course, was an explosion of the drug lab farmhouse. The SFX used was very poor and better results could have been achieved in a free app I once downloaded on my iPhone 7 many years ago. Unfortunately to say, this film was very disappointing and an embarrassment for Gerard Butler.
