Old school feels with classic stunts and action sequences that defined the genre. No CGI tricks and gimmicks here. Just fantastic cinematography and we'll storyboarded live-action!! I was a bit taken aback with the first half mimicking so much of the original, but in hindsight and following the culmination of the movie, I can appreciate why they chose to go that route. Movies don't always need to about the biggest bangs and mystical universes with capes and flying suits. A true cinematic experience can just be a very real human experience with some solid dogfight sequences thrown in to keep you at the edge of your seat and feeling euphoric when the credits start rolling in!
