We are transported back to the land of Thra with this amazing prequel. While the original was a unique marvel, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance proves how the mix of new technology and creativity can drive the film industry. It’s funny, keeps true to the spirit of its predecessor, and is just scary enough to keep a viewer on their toes. The only issue? It was cancelled after one season. This universe that was made by Jim Henson, his family, and Brian Froud will live on in infamy, though, as it proves that puppetry can be used to show the darker themes of life.
