This movie was a lot better than I was expecting. The voice acting wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t as bad as the trailers led us to believe. It also has an incredibly short runtime of only 90 minutes which is sad cause I enjoyed the references and Easter eggs throughout the film. Now for the movie itself. Peach was the main protagonist. She straight up was. As I walked out of the theatre, I heard someone describe it perfectly. “Man, Mario was f**king useless.” And he really was. Chris Pratt as Mario was alright, but they didn’t do the character well. Bowser and Peach were great. Their characters and acting were probably the best parts of the film. Overall, it’s not the best. But it’s definitely a movie to watch if you want to chuckle and take your mind off things.

Waste of two hours if you ask me. It felt like the disabled players were a side show to the main plot of Marcus getting with Johnny’s mom. Sure some players got development like Benny, Johnny, and Darius, but I felt like from the beginning scene we were seeing a romance film and not a numerous one.
