Long time FF player, I've played all the way back to FF1, and this is the best FF in years. I would probably give it a 9/10 and not a perfect 5 Star though. GRAPHICS The graphics are the best in gaming right now by a huge margin. I did not have any issues using graphics mode either. GAMEPLAY The battles are fun, and there certainly is strategy involved especially the further in that you play. Battles are probably way too easy though, but would be difficult for newer gamers. STORY The story is incredible! I won't say anything about it, but just wow. Play this game just for the amazing story! THE BAD All that said, the side quests are pretty lame and don't offer any rewards really worthwhile. You do get notoriety points which can be exchanged for items but that's just kind of meh. Towards the end of the game the side quests do get better but where, lots of wasted time with lame side quests early on. The game is super easy. I went out of my way not to fight anything because I didn't want to level up and make it any easier. Seriously. There are only a handful of fights that really keep things interesting. Even end game, there wasn't anything too challenging to fight at all. Guess I will have to try New Game + to see if it's any harder. That said, the game needs more things to do. I was clearing side quests before the final battle and I finished the last wave of side quests in 5 hours maybe? Whole game was beat in about 50-60 hours. They could have done more with it. OVERALL 9/10 Could have been harder and longer, but it is still really well done and absolutely worth playing!
