Ok so I did t dislike it as much as I thought I might. There were some decent lines that I thought might be noteworthy. My first thoughts is that this Batman movie is least like a Batman comic and more like a graphic novel. This all the way coulda worked as a film noir Gotham by Gaslight, that was gritty and sleuthy. My praises come for costume design and what I would call an ok plot. With that said this is the most pedestrian Batman around. The character is so hollow and brooding you really don’t feel his plight. Pattinson is as miscast as Batman as is kravitz cat woman , or dermis as Alfred. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen them overcast star power to support roles for no reason. Anyone coulda played catwoman or Alfred for what they did in the movie. In addition Pattinson is clearly to small to play the role and his unwillingness to get in shape clearly showed. His listless crusader wanders incoherently into multiple scenes where he just stands silently staring as the police work around him. Adding nothing to the plot we’ve reduced the riddler to sone weirdo wearing a green Michelin man costume who’s toddlers weren’t very perplexing. In the end you find Pattinson who in the beginning, had his own voice, rasping it up for a 3 hour movie I could’ve slept through that feels disjointed and outside the DCEU. Way to kill another one Warner brothers
