I loved this easy to read short novel.I read it in one sitting in about three hours.
Excellent characterisations. Intriguing plot.Engaging style and language by this Nigerian author which gave interesting insights into Nigerian lives.
Loved it.
I think this would be excellent for a book club.

I loved this latest Ishiguro novel. I liked the way in which he built up to the ending , which to a human being would have been unbearable.
However, I wondered if this was indeed an allegorical tale? Did Klara represent an elderly relative ,used for childcare and domestic duties , abandoned when too old to work?
I am ,maybe, being fanciful but I was reminded of Larkin's poem "At Grass"!

I used to love this show. Now it seems to be dominated by panellists who are allowed to get away with lies, Americans, Scots ,members of the general public and a chairman who airs her own views.
I want to hear intelligent debate, not a Booker prize winner saying we must be kind to one another and then being extremely rude about our elected Prime Minister.
I do not want to hear people angling for Scottish independence without acknowledging the financial problems in this.
Every panellist should have a time limit to speak.Lies must be challenged. The question asked should be addressed and stuck to.
Fiona Bruce needs to be more professional - she acts as if she is on a game show at times.
