I love the story lines and mysteries. I just found the townsfolk characters to be consistently sully and unlikeable even hostile. The lead character is scruffy and bland. He adds to appeal for female viewers. The music doesn't add to the moods of the episodes either. Hate to be so critical but I love British dramas and expected more
