I know who Elvis is, but never really paid much mind to how important he was to the culture of this country, in the 50’s-70’s. Not sure how accurate the story telling is, but if it’s close then his story is sad. I’m sure other celebrities can relate to the burn out he experienced in his career. The musical pieces were amazing, sometimes mixing in modern beats and melodies with Elvis’ music. The actor that portrayed him was so in tune with his character that I wondered if CGI was at play. For someone that is not an Elvis fan, this is one of my favorite movies of all time. It was amazing from start to finish. The early scenes when Elvis was just a boy, he goes into the church tent, gave me goosebumps. Then he channels that energy again on a few different occasions during his career. Every time gave me chills.
