Without giving too much away and trying to avoid any sort of actual spoilers here's my take on The Last of us Part 2.
I understand everyone has their own opinion to this game where some like it, some love it, and a lot claim to hate everything it stands for and that's ok. To me, it truly was an amazing story with so much to offer.
Sure there may be things that do not sit right with a lot of people and again that's down to every individual. I kept away from spoilers and reviews online and brushed aside any reviews people tried to tell me. I truly kept an open mind on the game and it made me enjoy every second of it so much more.
The atmosphere, the mood, the music, the mechanics, the whole journey really is an experience. Every step of the way through the game had me on edge. For those who are unsure on this game I would suggest trying to ignore everyone else's reviews and play the game yourself.
I feel the time and effort put into this title is under appreciated by some, and I feel some were too quick to judge. But again its everyone's right to feel how they want about it.
Some people may not agree with it but I feel happy knowing I played the game my way and made my own mind up on the game without letting anyone elses words take over my opinion.
10/10 for Gameplay - Mechanics were outstanding, encountered no glitches or bugs personally.
9/10 for visuals - I'm not a huge fan of the heavy film grain effect otherwise stunning
9/10 for Story - I'd have preferred to do some things differently as I'm sure many other people may have also felt. Sometimes it seemed a little rushed where I feel there was opportunity to push the story further.
Overall a solid 9/10 for me.
