I waited for my husband to go out of town before watching it. I knew I was right - he would have hated it, and I loved it. I don’t think it’s a romance at all - if it is, it’s a love story about planet earth. About home. About love and what that really means in the context of species evolution. It’s a quiet, soulful film. I agree the trailer and movie title are very misleading though. And who knows if the science adds up. It doesn’t need to, at least for me.
