This the best novel I’ve ever read/listened to as audiobook. BK takes the plot of David Copperfield to turn of 20th century Midwest America & a generation growing up at the heart of the opioid crisis & Charlie Thurston’s audio rendition is pitch perfect. It’s a rare tale that changes your perspective as much as this one did mine about these wretched lost generations. I just wish anyone but the current Republican front runner & collector of indictments had harnessed the rage, bitterness & frustration of all these people.
