The movie had a good plot line, but took too long to get to the premise. The script was not well written and seemed more like an attempt.at slap stick comedy confused with the typical serious Disney characters. It was awkward. There were some very excited plot set backs, with excellent sci fi aspects. The supporting characters were balanced well with the themes of forgiving ones mistakes and working together. The Buzz lightyear character requires that you dismiss the original overly confident and naive Buzz of the 90s. Once you get used to him, you'll quite enjoy the character arc throughout the movie. Then gay scene was confusing and unecessary. And simply a push to include homosexuality in children's culture. For those who haven't seen it, there is a character whose lesbian life family quickly plays out over many decades. A baby is born into this relationship, which of course required a male. This confused my 7 year old and opened up the opportunity to explain why homosexuality goes against God's plan to become one with our spouse and create families. How being gay robs a couple of this miracle. So though I prefer immoral constructs not to be thrust upon my child. I appreciate the opportunity to show directly through cartoon characters why it is wrong.
