When you accept the hilarity and absurdity of life in all its facets you will begin to see yourself, your family, your friends and perhaps as far as real-life villains in the brilliantly developed and nurtured characters of American Dad(!). It rarely insists upon itself, offers consistent laugh-out-loud moments and is a therapeutic alternative to the self-absorbed and pedantic fodder pushed on us by the entertainment industry. The fact that I can watch (and many other based on the comments) select episodes from all 15 seasons and counting without it ever getting old is miraculous. If you’re new to the show try “Minstrel Krampus” (S10, E8), “Hot Water” (S7, E1) and “ The Best Christmas Story Never” (S2, E9). If your interest is piqued binge the whole show.
