unfortunately I think this movie took a good concept and it was executed poorly. I was intrigued by the beginning, but as it progressed, the movie got more and more cliche and hard to believe. Also, there's no reason for a lot of parts to exist. They don't add to the mystery, they are just confusing such as the corset, sexual assault, dead mother, etc etc. I started to get annoyed with the cliches. Doing a scary activity at night, in the dark, during a thunderstorm, spooky noises happening and doors opening or closing, old music on the radio, it all just became annoying and took me out of the movie. I was hoping the scare factor was going to come from the mystery of the body and the crime, but it mostly ended up being your average ghost movie. I'm saddened because it was going so well and I think the concept could do so well but it just fell flat. I will say that I was pretty scared most of the movie. Poor story and execution, but some of the scares and tension was creatively built and it really had me on my toes due to a lack of pauses and still moments. I wish this was done differently.
