This is one of the most frustrating things I've ever watched in my life because, why?? By the time I was realizing that the storyline was going to be persistently illogical I was already about halfway through and too invested to stop in the middle. Pyo Na-ri was such a pushover from the beginning to the end. I kept saying does this woman have a humiliation kink that she's unaware of? She would fight hard for a jerk who had been consistently mean to her personally and kept sabotaging her career. Yet she barely ever stood up for herself. Why?
Why in all hell would anyone choose to date Lee Hwa-sin over Go Jeong-won? Jeong-won was better in every way. And Hwa-sin was not just less than, he was a horrible human in so many ways. He betrayed his own brother and destroyed his family after causing so much damage. And had the nerve to say in the end that that's how he shows love. Huh?
Also why did he used to treat Pyo Na-ri as his personal ambulance for emergencies that he himself would create by flaunting the Doctor's instructions. He also refused to tell Jeong-won about his illness which meant the entire burden of caring for a full grown cancer patient with no common sense fell on Na-ri. During which time he still treated her as a piece of disposable trash.
What was the point of that storyline? Is it that women love being mistreated?
Anyway, I loved everybody else in the series. The two soulmates Gye Seong-suk and Bang Ja-Yeong, the best! The kids!!! Ppal-Gang, Chi-yeol, Dae-gu, little Beom. Loved them all. Chef Rak! I loved the community he'd created with everyone in the building. They were all so well cared for!
Hong-dan's role too. She was so cool, calm and collected. I hope that jerk Hwa-sin paid back her 10m won. Both mom's, Cha Biso, Dr. Geum, Nurse Oh. All the side storylines were great.
It was also too long. 24 episodes of illogical torture by the 2 leads was not necessary.
