I thought this movie was awesome! I also thought how original. And I hope everyone knows It was a black man who wrote the movie. So why was it so downed by people today who are like this so bad . This is what happened in our history. You. CAn not erase history wether u like it or not. I don't understand how it was degrading to black people I'm talking about where one of the people on here left a review saying it was demeaning to black. How the black people in the movie had amazing jobs and the woman that was the main character was for black peoples rights and they were collage educated. The movie its self was a good concept I thought. How ever. figured the movie out 35 mins into it. How can anyone say that about this movie . Just because it showed what slavery was like? .why don't you watch THE COLOR PURPLE ONE TIME.? Back in the day after slavery, do you know African American people sold there own children at the age of 10. Sold them to grown old men and to be there slaves. To take care of there children and there houses and would rape them as well as beat them no different then the white people beat the slaves back in slavery times. I feel like people are so uneducated when it comes to back in history. Black back then would do the same to there wown. So this movie I thought was a good movie. . I don't understand either why everyone is trying to freak out about back in history. None of us are still alive who that happened to. I don't understand either because after slavery was ended. That's when African-American people started using there own people for slaves on there properties and sold there own for money. As well as the 50 year old men would buy 10 year Olds of people who were selling there family. The old men bought them to enjoy raping them every day. I.no matter what history happened. The best thing is to teach our children that was back in the day . Show them as time goes on the world became better and more about equal. I can't understand why anyone doesn't want to teach there children history. I also would live some one to explain why it was OK for African Americans to slave there own. Also the Africans in Africa sold there people to the English for slaves. So I don't understand how people say it's the white people. No I'm not racist at all. I just don't understand why people act so dumb. Because if you actually do ur history you would know that African Americans and Americans from Africa are the ones who sold there own as slaves and used there own as slaves.
