I'm not usually a fan of musicals, so take my review with a grain of salt. I'm aware it is based on the musical version of Mean Girls and not the original so much, so I took that into account when watching. The cast were okay, Renee Rapp stuck out especially with her amazing singing voice and I also liked Damien and Janice. Cady was a little flat, Gretchen was fine and I think Karen's dumbness felt a bit forced compared to the original. The songs were decent, although Cady's were a bit boring and I wasn't a fan of some of them. Plot felt a bit rushed but some of it was well performed. Overall, not a bad movie but nowhere near as good as the original and an alright film on its own.
