Full disclosure I have never offered a public review. I don’t claim to be an expert in entertainment or situations depicted on the show. BUT I feel compelled to offer my opinion. I’m giving a rating of 3 to be generous to the cast and crew. I have faithfully watched hoping for a storyline more dimensional than a soap opera, but I just can’t stomach the juvenile writing put out there to create absurd conflict between Jamie and Beth. ***SPOILER ALERT*** I understand “things” run differently on a reservation. I can’t say if forced sterilization was required with elective abortions, but I can tell you even if you’re 14 you’re not going to be up and walking around after a hysterectomy. And no power is going to allow for a white, rich girl to get a hysterectomy without parental consent. Is it really sterilization in this day in age if you have money and your ovaries? Are you telling me a 14 year old girl went on hormone therapy without anyone knowing? Hormone therapy is necessary after a total hysterectomy. Why is Beth absolved from everything she does, but Jamie is always a scapegoat? Very underwhelmed year after year by the lack of depth and serious lack of factual content beyond “cowboying” with the series. Character development as been lack luster at best as the series has progressed. Now have a reason to cancel cable.
