I was very disappointed in this movie. They did a horrible part. They took out the best parts and added in weird scenes. If the movie is going to be off the original it should follow the movie directly. It was poorly slipped together. I know they could have made the sea creatures so much better looking. I hated the ending and it how they didn’t show the king shrinking into a creature. They had Ariel killing the Ursula and really screwed up the ending. I was thinking it would go to my favorite part where her father stayed he’s going to miss her so much and then changes her into a human. The original she comes out of the water in this beautiful sparkling dress and she is absolutely beautiful and the scene jumps to her on a ship in a wedding dress. Instead she was wearing a stumpy dress that didn’t look royal at all. They screwed it all off. Everything was awkward and all the funny parts between the crab and the chef is what made the movie so much fun. Also when Ariel was singing apart of that world, she looks like she is having a weird seizure with her tail when she sings about the feet. Then again on the rock observing Eric on the beach she does this creepy thing with her hands singing apart of that world. I couldn’t stand that it was focused on more of a musical rather than more emotional connections. It was not connected and slopped together. I respect Women’s rights, I support other races everywhere and it just gets annoying that just a simple movie has to be changed so much to fit the political views rather than just making a movie. Her hair isn’t red. And the only cool color was Ursula’s tentacles. I would so much rather they do a complete different story and it be about anything or anyone with a different life, and story than screwing up the little mermaid movie to something I just can’t connect with like the original movie. Hope this makes sense and doesn’t have too many typo and errors. :)
