Why does the BBC need to send Brian Cox all over the world to present these programmes? Mind you, with all the taxpayers money that the spend on getting him & his crew out to Iceland et al, it doesn't matter if the kit him out in the finest outdoor gear on the market does it? As for the programme Universe ep 1, I do hope the rest of the programmes improve. Drop the rousing ( & frankly religious) choral music, stop Brian talking like he's a poet, as opposed to a physicist, and deal with the subject matter. Stars? he spent so much time banging on about our Sun, didn't once mention neutron stars, white dwarves etc. Watch How the Universe Works if you want to be informed & educated!
