This short, easy-to-read guide changed my life! I'm really not kidding when I say that. Two years ago I had no savings and was living paycheck to paycheck at the age of 45. I wanted to be financially free, but I had no idea how to start - nor that I COULD work toward such a goal. I didn't know much about the stock market. I thought that investing was something that rich people did - not the working class. So I was skeptical at first, but started investing a little bit at a time using the technique the author outlines in the book. Two years later, I have an IRA and two investment accounts - all growing, and all healthy! I still have a long way to go toward being set for retirement. But the discipline of investing is habit now, and as I keep doing it, through the power of compounding I should have more than what I need by the time I reach that age. A side benefit of starting to invest is that my whole attitude toward money has changed. I allocate, budget and spend my money differently now.
