Eh. Let me start off by saying I didn't hate it. There were things I loved about it–lots of eerie, lasting images, visual wonders, amazing sound design, lots of stuff that has stayed with me since I saw it.
But that's about it. I love film and art and have done film analyses before, but there just isn't much beyond a cool looking movie that also sounds good. There are some subtle themes about obsession with attention and spectacle that ultimately never came together in a truly lasting way for me. I think the characters could have been developed better, a large part of me wishes Keke Palmer was the main protagonist.
Don't wanna give too many spoilers so I'll end it here. That's really all there is to it anyway. It's a fun watch and some things might stay with you, but if you're the type that has trouble turning your brain off this probably will annoy you rather than entertain you. Wish the narrative/dialogue was developed better.
