Disappointed really. I thought some scenes like the drive to the top of the hill and the race dragged on far too long and I assumed they'd end up driving through France.

Life’s too short. I know fiction requires a suspension of disbelief sometimes but Alice’s attitudes and manner are so bizarre that I can’t give it any credibility.

Very disappointing, I've read and enjoyed just about everything else that Robert Harris has written but not this one. Interesting premise, starts OK but a ridiculous development and ending.
