As a combat officer in the infantry corps myself, I sympathize with the author but I must say that there’s absolutely no heroism about what he and his fellow combatants did. Invading a weaker nation for selfish political purposes and mass murdering civilians under the guise of fighting Al Queda terrorists is not heroic except in the USA. Much like murdering hundreds of thousands of women and children under the false guise of weapons of mass destruction is evil, inhumane and terrorist!
