This is not a typical masala movie that everyone loves to gobble up. Its has a good story, it does have a bit hit or miss compared to the original but its still worth the watch. Its beautifully adapted and still manages to bring home so many items from the original that still makes it worth the watch.
Definitely not the kind of movie, where the first 30 minutes feels like you are onto something. Its just a gradual movie that slowly creates for you the character and the journey of Lal Singh and the series of events that makes life eventful. It is a celebration of life, and not a incident movie that changes everything for one person.
For those who have seen Forrest Gump, I feel I would also get disappointed, but the movie is well balance and definitely contextualized for India. Its been really adapted well.
