Laurie Frankel deals in a thoughtful and sensitive way with a subject that's very hard to wrap our minds around, i.e., how to raise a child who is transgendered. One could only wish that every parent faced with this situation could bring the same depth of humor, patience, acceptance and understanding to it as does Frankel and her protagonist, Rosie. You'll be thinking about this novel for a long time after you read it. I know I am.
