Philippa Napper

This show is fab. The plot lines are daft. The obligatory suspect chase (with dramatic music) has become the moment where my husband and I cheer with how ridiculous it is, Annika gets her own police boat to ‘drive’ to work in. It’s hilarious, but like many I think Nicola Walker is brilliant and her team are very likeable and grow on you with every episode. If you consider this a light hearted weekly catch-up with old friends and don’t take it too seriously then it’s a great bit of TV. If you’re watching it as a serious cop show then it will annoy the hell out of you and you’ll think it’s complete rubbish. (And personally speaking I felt her breaking the fourth wall worked really well after I got over the strangeness in the beginning!)
