After the CoD cycle has got me for the past couple of months, I actually kinda like this game now. At first, I gave this game a 1/5 for reusing a lot of maps in MP, cranked SBMM, and a Zombies experience that was far from the best.
Campaign: I love the campaign a lot; you get to infiltrate the KGB and secret soviet facilities, and you can choose which ending you want to play. It brought back characters from Black Ops 1/2 like Woods and Mason, and I couldn't be much happier.
Multiplayer: Not too many great original maps, but they did remaster a lot of maps during the game's lifecycle, like Nuketown, Express, Standoff, and Hijacked just to name a few. SBMM is a little wonky if you performed well in your last match. When the game first launched, it was literally sacrificing ping to get a better skill lobby. The camouflage grind is ok, the mastery camo looks great, but there are some very annoying and outright dumb challenges (like killing enemies that are behind cover).
Zombies: With Cold War, they introduced a new storyline, the Dark Aether storyline, which brought a lot of new characters and allows players to play as MP operators. You can even spawn in with whatever gun you want instead of a default M1911 pistol, you can buy ammo for all weapons, including wonder weapons, and you do not have a perk limit. You can use as many perks as you want at any time rather than just 4. This literally makes you overpowered in most scenarios, and you can even upgrade your perks, making them even better.
