I've watched the stage musical and now the film version. There is no doubt there is talent from the cast in this movie. However, it lacks the sincerity (and darkness) of the 96 movie in this modern day version.

It's an okay watch. Plenty of twists and turns. Unfortunately quite 'hammy' in places. Andy Serkis sadly trying to be sinister, with what looks like a Yorkshire Terrier glued to his head.
