I must confess that as a Bishop I am someone reluctant to view contemporary depictions of Our Lord, His Apostles, St. Mary Magdalene, and others whom we see in the public ministry of Jesus. I can now say after reviewing each episode carefully that I can recommend this entire series to those who are already Believers and followers of Our Blessed Lord and to those who have lost their Faith or have never had Faith. While the Church for Centuries, (as articulated in the Ecumenical Councils of the Church) has had to address my matter of both the Human and Divine Natures of Christ, this matter is demonstrated in this series. I commend Dallas Jenkins and his cast and crew for their passionate and compassionate presentations. I am particularly blessed to hear the testimonies of the actors as it related to portraying their particular character. Jesus not only has the answers for a broken world, but He is the answer. I am grateful for the opportunity to enter into that which is a superb blend of Biblical texts of the Truth and also the meditative quality, not unlike the saints who pondered what conversations at each of the Biblical events would have been like.
