An outstanding show with a superb cast . The intensity of some of the scenes was overwhelming. The only criticism of the series is the excessive detail in many episodes to the ott indulgence of the "gay" question. Whilst it was an integral part of the show both my wife and I found ourselves "supporting" Doris's views!! Nevertheless this view does not in anyway detract from one of the finest shows ever enjoyed by us .

All star cast . Has the edge on on Lee Marvin's version!

A star studded cast in a feel good film.

Very good overall.The cast make a concerted effort to keep the film moving from start to finish.

Kathy Bates at her brilliant best surrounded by a sterling cast!!

Good solid all-round film. Vincent Price is impressive as the District Attorney.

Christian Bale and a formidable supporting cast are in a thought provoking film stimulating emotions from one side to the other.
