Playing this in 2023 because its the last PES with a ML and not everyone wants to play a online slot machine. Honestly I prefer 2019 over this. The biggest problems are: Way too many fouls. Any contact with the opponent AI is 80% a foul, even if you get the ball first or contact is minimal. Game feels too narrow in the pitch. I like the idea of breaking stubborn defences down but the enemy AI defence is super compact and you are hampered with some questionable AI offence choices, such as a through ball going to a player you are not intending to pass to. This makes the game feel very luck based when breaking teams down. I also find that you cant really beat a man with pace in this game like you could in other. It all contributes into a very slow, frustrating and luck based game. Granted, I dont consider myself a great player but it does feel like a lot of games are scrappy 1-0 affairs where you are just hoping that enemy AI free kicks, of which they will have many, hit the post instead of a homing missile into far corner.
