I look for a thriller that stays on course and constantly moves forward. This book had too much repetition and inconsequential elements that took up at least 150 to 200 pages more than what was required. This is , at best, a 350 page book.

The book is engrossing up to the Submarine part… I got the sense of where the story would go after another 50 pages… so 200 more just frustrated me. I started to skim through the dialogue…trying to find a leeway forward. And, when I did, I wondered why I was now reading Science fiction…rather than a reality I could process.. and how the book was presented. If Mr. Hayes is bent on the outer worldly he chases in this novel, please indicate it in the premise so that I can save myself the time and frustration of starting it.
