One of the most hyped movies of the decade! which doesnt live upto the expectations. Rajamouli is a director from yesteryears and that shows up glaringly obvious here.
The whole screenplay seemed amateurish, there is no strong building of characters or the associations between. Everything seems so rushed.
Ram Charan and NTR's friendship develops ( like really strong bonding ) over an event where they save a boy together- that seemed so manufactured.
Ram Charan's introduction scene itself was very unreal, him beating hordes of people even after getting hit by a massive rock on the head seemed very very ridiculous.
The story's premise seemed ridiculous, a tribal girl stolen from the tribe and guarded like she was so special and then NTR to travel all the way to Delhi to get her seemed silly and manufactured. On top of that, British officers anticipating NTR to come and rescue the girl and recruiting officers to track him down seemed silly.
There are so many cringeworthy scenes - especially the scenes leading up to "Naatu Naatu" song are at the top.
There are so many such scenes in the movie making it look like a TV serial. Rajamouli's good at selecting stories, but not good at presenting them, he got lucky with Bahubali as the story was good, but not this time.
There is a reason why this movie is hyped up so much, so much so that people fell for the mass hysteria and started believing that "it must be good, if its liked by so many".
NTR and Ram Charan are definitely great actors, but put to dumb use by SSR.
