The reviews that go above 3/5 are from people that SBMM is meant to protect. Do not be fooled by them. This is not a new era of Call of Duty. This is Modern Warfare 2019 repainted with a terrible UI with the only remarkable thing being SLIGHTLY faster paced maps. Every beta that has come out was essentially just a demo of the full game in which the patches and such came LATER in its lifecycle. Infinity Ward has literally ignored criticism from an overwhelming majority of fans because they wanted to cater to the 20-30% of bad players that are rating this game 4/5 and 5/5 while the remaining 70% have to just get lost in the maps, do decently well one game, and get shut down the next game by the SBMM algorithm which doesn’t even WORK. I mean come on—do you think having 1 K/D games in X matches in a row should give you matches against players with 1.5s and beyond? Huh? Because this happened MANY times in the prior three CoDs. And on top of that, the people being protected are NOWHERE close to even being protected at all! All it takes is someone to act like a vegetable 5-25 games in a row and they’re put in the protected player brackets for clips in an instant. It’s THAT EASY. NOBODY. IS. EVER. SAFE. OR. HAPPY. DO. NOT. GET. THIS. GAME. FOR. A. 5. HOUR. CAMPAIGN. EITHER. WHY WOULD YOU PAY FULL PRICE FOR SOMETHING THAT’LL GO AWAY IN 5 HOURS? EVEN SOMETHING ABYSMAL LIKE UNDERTALE IS WORTH THE PRICE TAG OF JUST TEN BUCKS. WHY WOULD YOU PAY 70 DOLLARS? YOU ARE SUPPORTING A TERRIBLE MULTIPLAYER IN THE PROCESS OF THIS DUMB DECISION. JUST WATCH A GAME MOVIE ON YOUTUBE INSTEAD—SOMEONE WILL PUT IT UP FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE EVENTUALLY.
