MOVIE OF THE YEAR....
By now, we should all know that a movie will never be what is in the book. The best we can do it applaud the effort made to make a movie from a best seller like this book. The important thing is that the story was brought to people to watch and if it has made a difference in one person's life and even got one person to smile, then that's really good.
The same with this beautiful, legendary movie (yes, I'm already giving it a legendary status, because it's awesome like that.) If you've read the book, good for you, take that and run with it. If you've read the book and watched the movie, like me, more better because we can proudly say we got best of both worlds. If you're going to watch the movie, you will still get the jist and the point of the story.
Let me first start by saying, for me this is the best movie of 2023 and the main people that make the movie are Taylor Zakhar Perez (Alex) and Nicholas Galitzine (Henry). No where would the movie makers have found a better match to make this movie into what it is. The two men bring something indescribable to the screen, their love, chemistry, they way they get along is amazing.
The movie does it's best to bring the moments of physical intimacy between Alex and Henry to the screen so that the movie still has that juice from the book. I've never ever seen a movie where two men kiss so passionately and their moments are just steamy without them making an effort.
The whole cast was just wonderful, and as much as we like the book, it's not possible to bring the book as is on the screen. Then again, we all have our opinions and views but I highly recommend this movie. It will definitely give all the feels, and it's a beautiful story of hope and love.
Nicholas and Taylor are now officially on the list of my favourite actors.
