I watched this movie as a fan of Zac Efron and to support Max (director). I was nervous because by the time I saw it, the reviews weren’t great. I actually really enjoyed the movie. Could it have been better? Sure but I didn’t finish the movie annoyed because of it. I love the music, it almost makes you want to get up and dance. The scene where they go to a music festival made me want to go to one. One if the things I really enjoyed was how it almost felt like your friends from high school in a way. There was a sense of realism to it unlike in most romcoms where you stop a cab in the middle of a bridge in NY or that sort of thing.
