Too much freedom, bizarrely. For all of its faults, the first game made me work a bit in order to get anywhere. It made me feel like an explorer and road trip taker. The reward of seeing a new city on the horizon was worth the miles. In The Crew 2 on the other hand, the map allows you to drop in almost wherever you like. It's also constantly bouncing me out of the world to take me to menus in order to get me into races that are at best mediocre. I am not drawn into the world and the map becomes like wallpaper.

Missing something. Action scenes are ok but with some obvious CGI and lacking the gritty wildness of the previous installment. It's certainly a bit trippy in places while both the sound design and music are great. Hemsworth channels the spirit of the great Sir Les Patterson in one scene and Heath Ledger's Joker in the next. Ending is rubbish, I slightly envied the couple who left the cinema half way through.

Boring with little to say other than the obvious point. Bit of a disappointment from Garland.

Missed Charlie Brooker, some of it ok though.

Ok, some nice Sam Raiminess, a necronomicon of sorts, demons, crazy zooms. I didn't care for the story which was a bit cheesy but it was always interesting to see what was on the screen.

Great story and some amazing cinematography. Typical Edgar Wright obsession over details in sounds and rhythm. I liked it.. there's probably a lot more to pick up on in subsequent viewings.

Lacking the character and inventiveness of the originals, the film is a more standard monstery gore fest. It's ok but not great.

Smart sci-fi monster movie, who doesn't love those?! Some say the beginning is better than the ending but that's life. Anyway I liked the ending. You should stop reading reviews now and watch it.

9hrs in on Series X and it's starting to grow on me. The great dialogue and book text is pulling me in. Like all RPGs it's fun when you are invested in the fiction of the world. Combat is below average on controller due to it missing whatever magic combination of acceleration, autoaim and low latency it is that makes a proper FPS fun to play. Still it's better than Cyberpunk in that regard!
