At the theatre, you get a booklet with a brief synopsis, so at least you have an inkling of what story’s about. If, like me, you’ve never seen the stage play, I’m sure you too are going to be sitting there thinking ‘what, in the name of puss-in-boots, is going on?’ This movie should have been left in the archives for five years and then released as a curio. Probably would have achieved cult status. Just not today, in the contemporary world. Appalling.
