Horrible. I was SO disappointed in this show. It was actually terrible right from the very beginning, but I wanted to see who won, so I fast-forwarded through the awkward, forced, and nails-on-chalkboard dialogue to just watch the games portions of the show and to see who won at the end. The majority of the players were EXTREMELY unlikeable, but the few that you are able to cheer for and actually like, were eliminated. There were a couple of times about midway through that it got pretty good....for example, the marbles game portion of the show was done very well and was very dramatic. The players seemed the most realistic in this one portion of the show. But before that and after that, it was all terrible.
Seriously, the players all were just horrible, and the dialogue was extremely awkward. They were all talking like they were "best friends" and loved each other after only knowing each other for a day (in some cases for those eliminated early) or a few days. It was such a weird and disappointing show. A huge waste of time to watch.
Once they were down to the final 9, it was HORRIBLE. Just boring, drawn out, and seemed very scripted with terrible acting. Leaving the last 2 players all to chance (when there was 3 left) was a terrible choice by Netflix. There was no more strategy involved at all to get down to the final 2.
As some others have stated, the one good thing about it was the beautiful sets and the realism that Netflix was able to put into it to make it look like the actual Squid Games show. That was the best part.
Dont waste your time, but if you do, just fast forward through all of the stupid talk and just watch the games parts. The marbles and battleship games were the best ones, if you can make it through the forced talk and how much they "love" each other, and the fake bowing to one another and cheering each other on. Just a horribly awkward show.
