The story was a stretch. Thought it would focus more on the actual on the nuts and bolts of the Manhattan Project, not so much Opp’s personal life although that was necessary to some degree for the story. The first 45 minutes was a series of 30 second snippets like you would find on a promo commercial. It made getting a “basis” for the story and the principals. Thought acting ranged from excellent (Downey) to so-so (Blount), who I felt was almost one dimensional. I saw the 70 IMAX format which was excellent but I felt could have been used much more effectively in many parts of the film. The audio was literally “earth shaking” and may have been the best part of the film. Overall, just OK and disappointed it was not meet my expectations.
