I finally binged watch this show. I am surprised at the high rating. I will begin by honestly saying, if the shows intent was to depict how Gen Z & Gen Alpha became the anxious emotional mess they are as a result of bad parenting THEN the writers succeeded. However, I really feel the writers missed so many opportunities for character growth. For instance, Sam (the Mom) never matured. Her character did not learn anything and did not teach her daughters anything; specifically money management and appropriate behavior. The writers didn't elevate the Mom's character. Sam's cavalier attitude towards her daughter's consistent disrespectful behavior never changed. Not to mention the 3 (Max, Frankie, Duke) didn't mature either. At first I thought by season 5 the daughters would grow up, wise up, But it never happened. They remained the same coddled spoiled inconsiderate foul-mouthed naive girls from season one.
