Core story is fine, not a ton of depth, which would get is 4 stars, but loses a star for the terrible AI on Dynamax battles. With enough players it's a great experience. The filled out NPCs are a hindrance and often cause you to lose to a battle you could solo because the in effective Pokemon selection causes them to faint quickly.

It's just okay. It's a faithful remake that doesn't add anything new. Add on the fact that the game required a patch on day one for a cartridge game and that a month later is still unfinished is not acceptable.
