It is more important than ever that we learn from history. It takes courage to stand up to tradition, even when we know of the deep injustice carried by it. It takes as much courage to stand up as human beings of equal value in this troubled present time of ours. We all, as individuals, bear responsibility for how the future will unfold. Every day we are given opportunities to implement changes for the bettering of all, if we so choose, without hiding behind excuses of powerlessness.
