A fresh take on the alien invasion trope. A clear representation of grief, guilt, and possibly neurodivergence. This movie hits home hard. The aliens do feel alien, and not perfect god like creature, like in other movies. although powerful, they are not infallible. You see hints at how their society operates even possibly their evolution. You will see people lambasting this movie, not sure what their problem is, and frankly, I don't care. What I can tell you is that I found this to be a wholly enjoyable movie that, although is low in scares, has a satisfying emotional payoff.

Noroi did something that not many Hollywood horror movies can. It left me thinking about it long after the film was over. It's all shot documentary style, grounded and almost mundane, but gets under your skin with a menacing atmosphere of impending doom. It's all extremely compelling and engaging. I don't want to give too much away. Watch it.

I had no idea what was going on but I was immensely entertained. I went to see it with the kids because they wanted to see a big monkey fight Godzilla. We were not disappointed. It has been a good while since I've been to exhilarated by an action movie. This movie is not Tarkovsky. It's dumb and kind of childish... but in the best possible way because, oh boy, it's soooooo much fun! And isn't that what movies should be about?

A very, very unusual movie about extraterrestrials. While most movies build tension by neatly laying out exposition so that audiences do as little thinking as possible, Spielberg does a complete 180. The aliens are so ambiguous and so strange that it invokes an almost child-like sense of wonder and fear of the unknow. The whole movie is about the obsession of a man that witnessed something that he couldn't explain and how it tore his life apart. It is so well done with cutting from family drama to scientist trying to figure out what's going on. Thoroughly entertaining and engrossing. That ending though. A real marvel of cinema which is made all the more impressive considering there was no such thing as CGI in 1977. Althlugh you don't get answers, you're left with a sense of accomplishment and closure. If you're the kind if person who relishes on questions rather than answers, you might enjoy this movie.

How, after 27 years of cultural and technological changes, did they manage to recapture the magic of the original games? I cannot believe how incredibly good and faithful this game is to the original series while catapulting the mechanics to the current day without overloading it with modern bloat. A fun, fast and furious side scrolling braler of the likes you don't see much of anymore. The music, the artstyle, the gameplay, it's all close to perfect. I cannot recommend this game enough to all players, specially those who played the original games on the Megadrive. Stupendous.
