Disclaimer: I loved the book. Hearing about this movie in theaters is what made me hear about and buy the book in the first place. However, this movie did not do a good job of portraying the book and had a totally different vibe in my opinion. I know with a movie you don't have as much time to get into details as the book but the whole point of the memoir was how Carolyn found Jesus and came into her faith at Oxford and as an added bonus met and fell in love with her now husband. The guy she meets in the movie touches only slightly on his faith and doesn't feel at all like how he was described in the book (other than looks that is). We barely even realize at the end that Caro has become a believer and aren't really able to see what things along the way lead her to make the decision. It seems very glazed over and just barely described in both the coming to faith and romance relationships. If you haven't read the book yet, I highly recommend!
