Violence, gore and darkness - that's what this movie depicts. Don't understand all the amazing reviews- sadly don't agree with them either. Just because Hindus are tolerant, movie makers like Dev Patel continue to showcase the religion in poor and condescending manner. Sad to see him promote Indian society and culture in such degrading light. Half an hour into the movie and I prayed for it to end quickly! No wonder Dev Patel had to put in so much effort to find financial backers for this sordid movie. No one with any sense of respect for cultural and religious sensitivity would participate in such a venture.
