As with anything on this subject, one has to try and see things with an open mind. This film affirms the battle between people and power ( represented in government) I am reminded of the pictures by Ernest Cole, and that the powerful will not be judged well. Essential viewing.

Very dark, but very entertaining, and will probably require another watch to cover any gaps in the plot that are missed.

An honest insight into part of the culture in Jamaica, the true music BUSINESS, and a human with their own conflict and talent navigating it. A very brave documentary

Authentic show at last about the under belly of cities and real damaged characters who are 3 dimensional. Martin Freeman and the cast are a revelation. With reference to the accent, as a Londoner, use subtitles if you are that troubled to follow the story line. Finally, more a question , does the show reflect scouse humour, as it was fantastic ?

If you are in to car chase and bar fights.......best avoid. If you are in to intelligent dialogue and Jeff Daniels at his understated best, always simmering. This maybe for you. Slow, like life is in small towns, but underneath the veneer of a backwater town, many lives are connected, by the poverty, illegal activities and grind of co existence ( and dependency ) infecting the town

If you a lover of films that have some basis on the lives lived out there, but in the main are ignored, even after the consequences become headlines, this will be for you. Well acted by all ( including the young actors ) Ignore the nay sayers

Decidedly average. Will appeal to some, but not for me.

Excellent film that portrays the undercurrent to the characters we saw on Court. A driven and flawed man, supported ( as always ) by the equally competent mother of his children. Will will probably get nominations for this, though I do not think it is an Oscar winner. We can now shed the Fresh Prince / Bad Boy references, as he is now a fully formed actor seeking challenging characters to portray
