Oppenheimer is a pretty accurate portrayal of one of the most capable and complex individuals of the 20th century. Leslie Groves was similarly capable and together they successfully managed one of the largest projects ever undertaken under immense pressure.
A technically accurate film, but not a technical film, it is more complex than technology. It is about a singular individual who thinks too deeply on so many levels that those who cannot appreciate his brilliance feel threatened and need to destroy him.
Some of the repetitive whizzy quantum effects were a little unnecessary but this is a negligible criticism in light of the phenomenal acting that this film portrays - the Oscars cometh!
